Actors Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are officially single now that their divorce is finalized. The stars announced their separation in February.
Lane filed for divorce back on Feb. 15, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She put the official separation date down as Feb. 13, although they reportedly began living apart for months before that.
E! News reports that the court approved their divorce on Nov. 27. "It is very amicable,” a source told the site today. “It's not ugly, it's just over.”
According to TMZ, Brolin, 45, and Lane, 48, did make a private financial settlement, but she didn’t ask for spousal support. She also dropped “Brolin” from her legal name.
This is the second divorce for both Brolin and Lane. Brolin was previously married to Alice Adair, while Lane was married to Christopher Lambert. They didn’t have any children during their eight-year marriage, but both are parents. Lane is the mother of Eleanor, her daughter with Lambert, while Brolin and Adair had two children, Trevor and Eden.
Brolin, who appeared in No Country For Old Men and this year’s Gangster Squad, reportedly checked into rehab last month.
As for Lane, she played Martha Kent in Man of Steel and earned an Oscar nomination for 2003’s Unfaithful. She’s expected to play Superman’s mother on Earth again in Batman vs. Superman.
