The judge involved in the case of Italian sisters Elisabetta and Francesca Grillo and Nigella Lawson has reprimanded British Prime Minister David Cameron for publicly showing support for Lawson while the case is still in progress.

Cameron has declared in various interviews he’s “Team Nigella,” but Judge Robin Johnson told jurors their opinion of the celebrity chef shouldn’t be swayed by his comments.

He told them he has seen articles that "center on the prime minister commenting about a prosecution witness, Ms. Lawson, during an interview with a journalist,” The AP reports.

"It is of regret when people in public office comment about a person who is involved in a trial which is in progress," Judge Johnson also said, adding, Cameron’s comments should "have no bearing on your own views.”

As we previously reported, the Grillo sisters, who were Lawson’s assistants for ten years, are alleging that they kept Lawson’s daily drug use a secret from her ex, Charles Saatchi, in exchange for £300,000 of Saatchi’s money.
