Justin Bieber visited victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines on Tuesday, raising both money and spirits for the worthy cause.

UNICEF said the 19-year-old “As Long As You Love Me” “brought a lot of joy, hope, and cheer” to many children during his visit.

According to The Inquisitr, Bieber flew from Australia to the city of Tacloban to hand out supplies needed for the city such as water, clothes, toys and books. He visited a UNICEF shelter, as well as the Jose Elementary school.

Bieber took to Twitter to help the cause and raise awareness, writing it was “the most touching trip of my life.” He also shared some photos via Instagram.

“Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help. #GiveBackPhilippines,” he also tweeted. On Wednesday, he wrote “still thinking about everything i saw.”

While he was there, he even raised spirits by performing some of his hits, and Christmas songs as well.
