Justin Bieber had his Beliebers in a state of panic this week when he said during an interview that he was retiring from the music industry and not releasing any more new music.
Bieber spoke to Los Angeles’ Power 106 and said on air “I’m actually retiring. I think I’m probably gonna quit music.”
He touched on other subjects during the interview, such as his bad boy reputation right now, explaining, "People think I'm arrogant, I'm not, I've always been a caring and giving person. I'm here solely for my fans and for the music."
However, TMZ spoke to people in the “Heartbreaker” singer’s camp and they confirmed he was only joking about retiring from music, with one source saying "The kid's got ambition."
As we previously reported, Bieber’s new album will be released next week, on Dec. 23. He’s been releasing the songs on Twitter as part of his “Music Mondays” promotion and he released his last on Dec. 9.
