Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday. It is her first child with husband Ned Rocknroll.
Her rep told the Daily Mail today that the baby, weighing in at 9 pounds, was born NHS hospital in Sussex County. The baby’s name was not released, but her rep assured fans, “Mother and Baby are doing great.”
Winslet, 37, and Rocknroll confirmed that they were expecting in June. The couple married in secret last December.
According to E! News, the Labor Day actress was last seen in public in London on King's Road, still wearing skinny jeans despite her pregnancy.
Winslet, who starred in Titanic and won an Oscar for 2008’s The Reader, has two children from her previous marriages to Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes. She is the mother of Mia, 12, from her marriage to Threapleton, and Joe, 9, from her marriage to Mendes.
"I feel completely great,” Winslet said during her pregnancy at the Toronto International film Festival to promote Labor Day. “It’s such a pleasure to be able to be here and still be permitted on an airplane and talk about a film that I’m proud to be a part of.”
Labor Day hits theaters on Jan. 31 and Winslet will also be seen in Divergent next year.
