Kate Winslet and husband, Ned Rocknroll, have given their first child together, quite a grizzly name- Bear.
A spokesperson for the Oscar winner actress confirmed the name to People magazine earlier this week.
Bear was born on December 7 at a National Health Service hospital near the families home in West Sussex, England.
British newspaper, The Sun , was the first to report that the couple has decided for Bear to inherit his mother’s last name, introducing him as Bear Winslet.
Although, Winslet is already a mother to 13-year-old daughter, Mia, with first husband Jim Threapleton and her 9-year-old son, Joe, with second husband Sam Mendes, a source close to the family also told the newspaper “They are all doing so well, they both absolutely adore him.”
These parents to newborn Bear have even more celebrating to do, as their first year anniversary is coming up.
Rocknroll, originally born Abel Smith, legally changed his name is 2008, according to the Daily Mail, because he could.
It will certainly be interesting to see if Bear follows suit.
