Khloe Kardashian is looking forward to 2014 and hopes to get a fresh start since filing for divorce from her husband of four years, NBA star Lamar Odom.

She opened up about new beginnings in the February issue of Cosmopolitan.
The 29-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told the UK version of Cosmo that she needs a “good fresh start” in 2014.

"I love the new year, new beginnings. I need a good fresh start; I'm excited for this year to be over with,” she admitted. “You only live once so let's make that one time perfect. We can't fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let's have fun. You get what you give out in life."

Kardashian has been estranged from her husband for months following rumors of his alleged severe drug addiction and refusal to get help for it despite her many attempts. She officially filed for divorce earlier this month.

She talked about regretting nothing about her life, saying "My life has made me who I am at this moment and I'm very happy with who I am. No matter if it's great, disgusting, beautiful or ugly; it happens and it makes you you. Life is about how you process things."

E! Online notes she doesn’t just talk about herself in the issue, she also gushed about her new niece, baby North West.

"Kanye is such an awesome dad, and he's so opinionated and passionate. North is only five-and-a-half months old but you can see she has opinions and a strong personality already," she said. "I'm kind of nervous to see what she's like when she's older but I think she'll be incredibly confident because Kim and Kanye are."
