Megyn Kelly refuses to believe that the imaginary Santa Claus is anything but white. Kelly argued on Fox News that not only is Santa white but so is Jesus and that’s a “fact.”
According to E!Online the debate started with Slate writer Aisha Harris’s recently published op-ed titled ”Santa Claus Should Not Be a White Man Anymore." In it she calls for a figure that better represents all children and makes them all feel welcomed. She suggests a penguin as the new Santa Claus figure.
Kelly delivered a message to the kids watching a home (kids watch Fox News?) according to Business Insider, "And, by the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white." She continued saying, "But this person is arguing that we should also have a black Santa, but, you know, Santa is what he is, just so you know, we're just debating this."
“Jesus was a white man too,” Kelly adds. “He was a historical figure, that’s a verifiable fact – as is Santa. How do you just revise it in the middle of the legacy of the story, and just change Santa from white to black?”
It seems like Megyn Kelly still believes in Santa since she seems to forget he is a completely imaginary figure. Do you side with Kelly or Harris in this debate? Let us know!
