NBC is making some changes to January, since the peacock network has to find some way to keep people watching The Blacklist and The Voice’s fall season finishes. The show has been a huge hit thanks to the Voice lead-in, but NBC will try to see if the James Spader show can still get viewers without it.
The network said Monday that original episodes of The Blacklist will be back on Jan. 13 at 10 p.m. Its lead-in that night will be a two-hour American Ninja Warrior special, reports TheWrap.
On Jan. 20 and Jan. 27, the show’s lead-in will be two straight episodes of Hollywood Game Night. Last month, NBC decided to revive the Jane Lynch-hosted show, in which celebrities and regular people play games to win prizes.
According to Deadline, NBC has decided to air a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue special, which will run two hours, on Feb. 3. That will air from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., with a Hollywood Game Night episode as the lead-in.
On Monday, Feb. 17, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will kick off and The Blacklist will be back with original episodes on Feb. 24. NBC also has the Winter Olympics to help out before The Voice’s spring cycle begins.
The Blacklist’s fall finale airs tonight.
