NBC announced that it was developing an adaptation of The Wolfman, which would then join Grimm on Friday nights.
Deadline, who first wrote of the announcement, reports that the TV series will be an adaptation of the unspectacular 2010 The Wolfman movie, which starred Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro.
The show would follow the main character of Lawrence Talbot who suffers from an ancient curse and turns into a supernatural creature.
Dracula executive producer and head writer Daniel Knauf and Stott Stuber - who produced the film - are involved in developing the show. Knauf is responsible for the cult HBO show Carnivale and will be writing and executive producing the show with Stuber and Quan Phung.
Friday nights are notoriously tough for ratings and new supernatural show Dracula opened to decent numbers in the demographic at a 1.8 when it premiered, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Grimm was also a 1.8, which was up for the show on the same night.
Since that premiere in October, numbers for the two supernatural shows have dropped somewhat down to a 1.3 for Grimm and a weak 0.9 for Dracula.
