The Eleventh Doctor and Clara find themselves attempting to cook a turkey with no help from their sonic screwdriver in the Christmas Special this year. Apparently that’s one of the things it can’t do.
This year’s Christmas special is Matt Smith's last episode as the Eleventh Doctor. From the previous trailer we got a sneak peek at the action of the episode, as well as some insight to what villains we could expect to see. But in the newest sneak peek released Friday Dec. 20, we get a look at some of the humor that Smith’s Doctor can bring us according to WKZO.
The Doctor rescues Clara from a Christmas family dinner and the duo jet off to investigate what a mysterious message means. The message is drawing together the universe's most evil species. What could this mean for the fate of the universe?
Below is the “The Time of the Doctor" clip showing the scene of the Doctor and Clara debating how to cook the turkey. She wants him to use an “app” from his screwdriver, but a sonic screwdriver can’t make dinner. Still they may have found a way to save Christmas dinner according to the Examiner.
The Doctor Who 2013 Christmas special, "The Time of the Doctor," airs Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 9 p.m. on BBC America. In Smith’s final episode we say goodbye to the Eleventh Doctor and welcome Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth.
