Nigella Lawson is planning on giving a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey to try and clear up the recent drug allegations and win back any fans she might have lost ahead of the second season of show The Taste.
According to The Mirror, the celebrity chef will only answer questions relating to her case against Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo and their allegations that she had a daily drug habit.
Her friends say that an interview with Oprah is the perfect way to "Set the record straight" about issues in her life. A friend said, "For the moment she is determined to maintain a dignified silence even though so much has been said about her life."
They added, "She has asked family and close friends to say nothing because she wants to go on TV, have her say and then try to move on. Her career is really taking off in the States which is why she and her team are keen on Oprah."
Anthony Bourdain, her fellow celebrity judge on U.S. show The Taste has called the Grillo sisters' accusations a "crock of s***."
Despite the recent allegations, ABC announced that the second season of her show The Taste would air as planned.
ABC said that the they "have already wrapped production on 'The Taste' and it will air as planned beginning January 2nd."
All Lawson's recent issues stem from the Grillo sisters' defense in their court case that they were allowed to use Lawson's now ex-husband's, Charles Saatchi, company credit card if they promised to keep quiet about her daily drug habit, which consisted of cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana.
