Oprah Winfrey may be the queen of media, but she has no plans to reign over any kid’s anytime soon, or at all for that matter.
Winfrey, 59, told the Hollywood Reporter that "If I had kids, my kids would hate me.” She also admitted that if she did have kids they would have ended up on an Oprah-esque talk show talking about her, “because something (in my life) would have had to suffer and it would've probably been them."
According to the NY Daily News, Winfrey has never found motherhood particularly appealing but is practically a mother to nearly two hundred girls that she takes care of at her Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, which has been open since 2007.
In addition to forgoing motherhood, Winfrey has also never tied the knot. Her and partner Stedman Graham have been together since 1986. They were once engaged but never wed.
Winfrey has enjoyed a successful career in television and film and was recently nominated for a Screen Actor's Guild award for her role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler.
