Paris Hilton is on the warpath after someone photoshopped a tweet, trying to make it appear like the socialite had mixed up Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, Jr.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the tweet that Hilton supposedly sent out read: "RIP Nelson Mandela. Your 'I Have A Dream' speech was so inspiring. An amazing man."
Once Hilton found out about the fake tweet, she did her best to debunk it all as a hoax and she wasn't foolish enough to mix the two up. "Just landed & heard the sad new[s] about Nelson Mandela," she wrote in Miami. "He was a true Hero & the world is a better place because of him. May he rest in peace."
After sending out that tweet, Hilton went off on whoever made the photoshopped tweet, New York Daily News reports. "Whoever made that stupid fake tweet lacks respect to the loss the world is mourning right now."
Hilton also directed her ire at any blog that believed she had actually made that tweet. She made sure to add that she was aware of the differences between MLK and Mandela.
L.A. Times notes that even in the early Friday morning hours, the 32-year-old had not calmed down over the incident as she continued tweeting about it.
