Lisa Niemi, who was married to the late Patrick Swayze, is now engaged to Albert DePrisco.
Niemi's rep confirmed the engagement to the 58-year-old jeweler with Us Weekly.
The 57-year-old widow has been with DePrisco for over a year before he asked her to marry him on Christmas Eve. According to E! News, the two met through their friends at her birthday party.
Swayze passed away in 2009 of pancreatic cancer and Niemi said in 2010 that she was ready for another long-term relationship. "I would love companionship love. Absolutely. I hope I'm not one of these women who never want to have another relationship."
Just because she was willing to find love again doesn't mean she would forget Swayze. She said shortly after his passing in 2009 that she knew she would see him again and would just need "to go on until then."
Us Weekly notes that Niemi was married to the Roadhouse actor for 34 before he passed away. Niemi met Swayze when she took dancing lessons from his mother and they ended up marrying in 1975.
