The moment a celebrity or famous person dies, people run to Google to check on their lives and careers, or at least that’s what the search engine’s list of top trends and searches for 2013 show. Paul Walker, Nelson Mandela and Cory Monteith are among the year’s top trends on the site. Miley Cyrus, Drake and Kim Kardashian were the most searched people.

On Google’s 2013 Zeitgeist, the web giant said that Paul Walker was the top trending person and overall top trend. Walker died less than a month ago at age 40 and starred in the Fast & Furious films. He died in a car crash that killed both him and the driver.

The Boston Marathon Bombing in April was in second place on the top trends and was the most searched for event. Former South African President Nelson Mandela, who died on Dec. 5 came in third overall. Glee actor Cory Monteith, who died in July from a drug overdose, was fourth, while the iPhoe 5s was fifth.

The rest of the Top 10 includes the Government Shutdown, the late James Gandolfini, the Harlem Shake, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Baby and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

The Top 10 most-searched for people were Cyrus, Drake, Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and Kanye West. Kardashian’s pregnancy was also the top-trending Celebrity Pregnancy, even beating out the Duchess of Cambridge.
