Following the death of Paul Walker, Pantelion and Lionsgate films has announced that they will keep the release date for Walker's upcoming film, Hours.
Executives from both studios met on Sunday and decided to move forward with the release date because the film honors Walker and shows off his skills as an actor.
The film will be released as planned on December13, 2013 in 15 select cities in the United States, USA Today reported.
The Hollywood Reporter added that the film will also be released simultaneously on demand for viewers at home.
Hoursstars Walker and Genesis Rodrigeuz, who play a couple who has a child during an intense storm in New Orleans, in a tragic turn of events Rodrigeuz dies and Walker is left to save his newborn daughter.
This will not be the last film from Walker, Fast 7 is still in production and had a release date of July next year. The studio is still working on how to move forward with the movie following Walker's death. The script and timeline of the film will have to be altered.
