Paul Walker’s younger brother may be stepping in to film final scenes for Fast & The Furious 7. Walker, 40, died while on break from filming in a car accident two weeks ago.
The Daily Mail revealed Cody Walker, 25, who has done previous work as a movie stuntman, is set to take his brother’s place in the movie franchise.
Production on the film was halted after Walker’s death to allow for Walker’s family as well as the Fast & Furious cast and crew ample time to grieve.
According to Entertainmentwise, producers had many meetings in the days following Walker’s accident. “They soon realized they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that's when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody," a source said. "They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up they can CGI it later on.”
Obviously there are still a lot of details to work out if that’s the road producers take to finish the film. Earlier reports indicated the crew was going to find a way to retire Walker’s character using already shot footage.
