This Christmas, Prince George will experience an age old royal tradition. Baby George will go with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to spend the holiday with the rest of the royal family at Sandringham, an estate owned by his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, on England's east coast. Not only is it George's first Christmas, but also the first time three heirs to the throne (Prince Charles and Prince William, and Prince George) will celebrate together.
Whether or not George's non-royal grandparents will be invited to the festivities is not yet clear. Various tabloids, including Life & Style Magazine and Express have said that an exception in tradition will be given to Carole and Michael Middleton, but doubt surrounds this claim. Victoria Murphy, ABC News' royal contributor, has explained why this is probably not the case, "I think this is extremely unlikely," Murphy said. "Royal Christmas is steeped in tradition, and there is absolutely no precedent for in-laws being invited for Christmas. William and Kate spent last Christmas with her family, and I think this year they will see the Middletons at a different point over the festive period, and probably for New Year's."

On Christmas Eve, between the elaborate feasts and black tie balls, the Royals gather around the Christmas tree and exchange gag gifts! Back in 2011, Prince Harry gave the Queen a shower cap that said “Ain’t Life a Bitch,” as per The Examiner. Pippa Middleton may go a different route, considering her shelling out about $11,000 to have her godson's hands and feet cast in silver as a gift for the Prince's christening.
