Chris Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna avoided an awkward run-in last week in New York City.
Proving there’s still tension surrounding the whole situation, Tran was denied entrance into the Pink Elephant nightclub because the “Diamonds” singer was already inside.
A rep for the club told Page Six, "She wasn’t let in as a courtesy to Rihanna. To keep the peace, they decided it was in everybody’s best interest if they weren’t on the dance floor at the same time.”
Tran’s rep also confirmed the incident, saying she “decided to go elsewhere” when she “was told she could [not] attend said club, because Rihanna was inside.”
Brown and Rihanna have a history together – he was arrested for beating her back in 2009 and they have been on and off ever since. However, he’s been dating Tran for a while now.
When asked about the love triangle almost a year ago, Tran told Vibe about being together in the same room and working out their differences, “For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I’m a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I’d do it,” adding, “I’m a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. (Pause) Yeah, it would be a lot."
Brown is currently in rehab for anger management issues.
