Ryan Murphy has revealed how Glee was originally supposed to end before everything had to change due to a major actor's passing.

Entertainment Weekly has posted an excerpt of the co-creator's eulogy at the July memorial service for Cory Monteith and in it he reveals how he had planned on ending the series, one which was obviously derailed by Monteith's passing.

In the eulogy Murphy said, "Rachel was going to have to become a big, Broadway star, the role she was born to play." He added that Finn would get into teaching and starting his own glee club at the school in Ohio.

"Rachel comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn's glee club. 'What are you doing here?' he would ask. 'I'm home,' she would reply. Fade out. The end."

After the final season of Glee bows next year, actor Matthew Morrison has said that he will likely take a break from TV acting.

Morrison plans to focus on theatrical acting and his music. The glee club's choir director has just released his own EP for the holidays, entitled A Classic Christmas.
