Sara Bareilles warmed hearts on Sunday night at her concert in Orlando, Florida, by invited 4-year-old cancer patient, Joshua Chambers, to join her on stage. Joshua was diagnosed with Leukemia in February of this year, and he considers Bareilles’ song “Brave” to be his theme song. Bareilles welcomed Joshua on stage to help her sing the tune, melting the crowds’ hearts.
At the House of Blues concert, Bareilles told the crowd, “I want to do something really, really, special tonight. There is a very, very special brand new friend of mine who has come to the show and I want to introduce him to you. You guys are going to fall in love with him the way I did.”
The young boy is certainly brave, and he sported a t-shirt that read, “Be Brave,” while on stage with the 34-year-old singer. Joshua is currently in remission after being diagnosed with cancer and enduring countless rounds of chemo, and Bareilles said that Joshua “is being the bravest of brave.” The toddler stood next to Bareilles as she sand an a cappella version of her Grammy nominated song, and Joshua even joined in for the chorus.
