Former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin returns to television and will host a new show for The Sportsman Channel titled Amazing America. The show will be part of the
channel’s “Red, Wild and Blue America” program schedule, and is slated to
debut this coming April.
In a press release issued Monday, The
Sportsman Channel announced that Palin's show is “an anthology of
stories that explore some of the most original, interesting—and sometimes
inspiring—people, places and pastimes connected to America’s outdoors
lifestyle. Palin will find the stories of people and places that share and reflect her passion for what makes America the great, amazing nation that it is.” The show is said to feature ordinary working Americans, business leaders and celebrities, and will take place in cities, towns and the wilderness.
MSN
is reporting that Sarah Palin’s Amazing America is an attempt by The Sportsman Channel to raise its viewing numbers. The channel is in less than one-third of American households. The Sportsman Channel’s other big celebrity is Ted Nugent.
