The second man involved in the theft of a roof panel from the Porsche Paul Walker died in has surrendered. 25-year-old Anthony Janow surrendered Tuesday at the San Fernando courthouse.
The first man involved, 18-year-old Jameson Brooks Witty, surrendered on Dec. 5 to sheriff’s officials and was released on $20,000 bail, according to USA Today. Janow’s bail was set at $60,000, most likely because he fled the state before turning himself in.
According to CBS, both men are scheduled to be arraigned January 3rd on one felony count each of grand theft of personal property and two misdemeanor counts each of destroying evidence and resisting, obstructing and delaying a peace officer.
Janow’s attorney's name has not been released but both men face up to 4 ½ years jail time if convicted.
Paul Walker and friend Roger Rodas died on November 30th when their Porsche Carrera GT crashed in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita. Walker’s body was released Monday by the coroner.
