During a speech at girlfriend Lauren Silverman’s baby shower this past Sunday, Simon Cowell reportedly made a speech that is raising some eyebrows.
The sharp-tongued former American Idol turned X Factor creator caught the tail-end of the celebration, which took place at his Beverly Hills home, and gathered the guests for a speech.
“I think she is a very lucky girl to have found me,” he said, RadarOnline .
He did get sentimental, adding, “It’s been a difficult year in many ways but now I’m really excited about next year and seeing the birth of little Simon, due at the end of February. I would like to say a special thank you to Lauren for all she’s done to help change my life.”
As we previously reported, Cowell helped throw an English tea party-themed party in honor of Silverman.
An onlooker said of the couple, who are reportedly getting engaged soon, “They seem to really be in love. I've never seen him like that before."
