Country superstar, Taylor Swift celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday with a close group of a friends. Swift shared some pictures with fans from the event on her Instagram account.

Included in the Instagram pictures amongst many faces that fans did not recognize was UK singer, Lorde, reported MTV. Lorde and Swift had become friends recently being seen meeting up both in New York and earlier this week in Melbourne.

The theme of the birthday gathering was a Melbourne garden party. Swift thanked fans for the birthday wishes and claimed this was the best birthday she has ever had, E! Online added.

Swift has accomplished a lot before turning 24, including winning a variety of awards, writing and performing chart topping albums and creating a dedicated fan base that is one of the strongest in the industry.

The "Red" singer is currently on tour and will be taking the stage one last time later tonight in Melbourne.
