Amber Portwood of Teen Mom fame sat down with Dr. Phil for her first interview since being released from jail. She served less than a year and a half for a 5-year sentence.

She rejected a plea deal that would allow her to go to rehab instead of jail.

The Dr. Phil interview will air on Friday, and it features Portwood in her first-ever sober interview.

"This is actually my first time on stage sober, so I'm really nervous,” she explained, adding of MTV’s Teen Mom, "Every time you see me on that show, I am high.”

Us Weekly reports Portwood, who shares 4-year-old daughter Leah with her ex, Gary Shirley, was previous arrested on domestic violence charges and was addicted to prescription pills. In 2011 she attempted suicide.

When Dr. Phil asked if she was really trying to kill herself she said, "I didn't care.”

Portwood served her time at Rockville Correctional Facility in Rockville, Ind. and she was released last month. Each day she participated in a substance abuse program, she was given "good time credit" towards an early release, which ultimately let her go home almost four years early.
