If A&E decides to pull the plug on their hit show Duck Dynasty the show will not stop airing. At least two other networks are waiting to jump at the chance to pick up the TV show.
According to TMZ, Merrill Sport, owner of the Christian-affiliated Hunt Channel, would pick up the hit reality show popular with their viewership, sportsmen and Christians. Sport says, "We believe in the 2nd amendment and freedom of speech.” He believes if A&E doesn’t like what the Robertsons have to say then they need to let them go so someone else can put them on their network. Sport also adds that "A&E is too scripted. [Hunt Channel] would let the personalities flow."
The channel Pursuit is also interested. The CEO of Pursuit, Rusty Faulk, said they are 100% interested in airing the show saying, "We don't censor our personalities."
If the Robertsons do cut ties with A&E, reportedly they’re contract doesn’t allow them to do another show for some time.
The Duck Dynasty controversy started when Phil Robertson gave an interview to GQ stating his beliefs on homosexuality.
