In continuing his media blitz and repeatedly showing up nearly everywhere ahead of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' release date, Will Ferrell joined Bismarck, N.D.'s KCMB's news broadcast as Ron Burgundy.
According to The Associated Press, Ferrell appeared alongside anchor Amber Schatz in his trademark rust-colored suit. He helped her read the news, and occasionally interjecting much in the same way Burgundy does in his own movie news broadcasts.
Burgundy turned to Schatz and commented, "Amber, you look lovely tonight" and then asked if she was married. She replied she wasn't and Burgundy quipped, "Well I am, so don't get any ideas."
The fake news anchor is next expected to appear on TSN in Winnipeg to help cover Canada's Olympic curling trials.
In addition to appearing on actual news broadcasts, Burgundy also became Dodge Durango's spokesperson in ads, where he tries to convince people to buy cars while also being goofy. Dodge seemed happy in November about the commercials noting that there had been huge uptick in web traffic.
Dodge also wins since the ads are considered standard promotion, so Will Ferrell isn't paid for his appearance in their commercials.
