The popular television show, Duck Dynasty, looks toward an improvement in ratings as they continue in their fifth season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show averaged 6.65 million viewers at 10 p.m. That was a decrease 21 percent from last week's opener.

The reality series doesn’t show any sign of slowing down, though. Among all programs on Wednesday, Duck Dynasty ranked behind only Fox’s American Idol and ABC’s Modern Family, according to Variety. This is good news for the cable channel, A&E. Duck Dynasty also holds the cable reality record, with viewership in adults ages 25-54 totaling 6.3 million, topping the mark set by Trading Spaces nearly 10 years earlier.

Duck Dynasty follows a Louisiana family known for their successful business hunting ducks. The reality television series features Korie Robertson, Jase Robertson, Si Robertson, and Kay Robertson. They have had many good times since they debuted in 2012, but the show sustained some controversy regarding derogatory comments made by Phil Robertson, the family patriarch. The comments caused fans to respond.

Duck Dynasty can be seen on A&E.
