Fans of the show, Hannibal, will have a whole new way to watch the television series. Amazon.com has announced that the first season of the show is now available on its instant library.
Viewers loyal to the series can stream the 13 episodes after purchasing an Amazon Prime membership. Hannibal is provided to Amazon customers by an exclusive subscription VOD service. Amazon has acquired a number of shows this season including NBC’s Grimm, SyFy’s Defiance, and USA’s Suits and Covert Affairs.
Hannibal is the story of a renowned psychiatrist and an FBI profiler. According to Variety, Hannibal is based on characters from Thomas Harris’ book, Red Dragon. It follows the story of the young Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a criminal profiler and connoisseur of human flesh. Mads Mikkelson plays Hannibal Lecter. His co-stars include Hugh Dancy and Caroline Dhavernas. Bryan Fuller created the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Hannibal is from Gaumont International Television in association with Sony Pictures Television Networks. Viewers can see the second season of Hannibal on NBC beginning Feb. 28.
