Walking Dead star, David Morrissey has found a new home on BBC following his departure from the AMC hit drama.

Morrissey enjoyed a large role on The Walking Dead, playing the Governor, before being killed off in the season finale this season.

Variety reported that Morrissey will star in The Driver, a three-part thriller for BBC.

The film focuses on a taxi driver who takes on personal blame because of a family mystery and ongoing mistakes of accepting an offer to start driving a taxi for a criminal gang.

The Driver will also star Ian Hart, Colm Meaney, Shaun Dingwall, Claudie Blakley, Lee Ross and Sacha Parkinson.

The drama will be written by Danny Brocklehurst and will be directed by Jamie Payne who is known for his work on Doctor Who and The Hour. Jolyon Symonds who has worked on Breathless will produce.

The Hollywood Reporter that the show will air on BBC one year from now. Shooting is scheduled to begin in the U.K.
