The 2014 Golden Globe nominees were announced last month, but with the Globes coming up on Sunday, it is worth going over the full list of nominees again.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has nominated an eclectic collection of stars, films and television shows. On the film side, there are actors and actresses who earned nominations and might not have if the Globes didn’t consider different genres. For television, there were some big surprises, as several new shows from the current television season were nominated.

As many have noted, the category for Best Picture - Comedy/Musical is stronger than the Drama category, since many of the year’s best films are considered comedies by the HFPA. That includes Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street and David O. Russell’s American Hustle. That’s not to say that the drama category isn’t strong still, as it does include 12 Years A Slave and Gravity.
