ABC Family's The Fosters hit a series high on Monday, bringing in over 2.1 million viewers. This was the shows second week being back on the ABC family regular schedule.
Variety reported that the show had over 710,000 adults between the ages of 18 and 34 tuned into the show. Most of the viewing audience came the age demographic of 12-34, which was responsible for 1.3 million viewers.
A lot of viewers may not have been aware of the show's return, as Tuesday's episode increased by double-digit percentages.
TV By The Numbers added that the show before The Fosters, Switched At Birth also had strong ratings amongst fans 12-34.
ABC Family has been pushing their programing toward younger females with hit shows like Pretty Little Liars become an huge success for the network.
The Fosters won the night and was TV’s No. 1 scripted show for females 12-34 and the No. 2 scripted show in women 18-34.
Both shows have been doing well went it comes to DVR playback.
