ABC's The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis feels gays shouldn't be on the reality TV show as they are more "pervert in a sense."

At a Friday party thrown by the alphabet network, Juan Pablo was asked by reporter Sean Daly what he thought about having gays be on The Bachelor, reports the Los Angeles Times. Instead of dodging the question he decided to stick his foot in his mouth and answer.

"I don't think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV," Pablo said. He added, "Now there is fathers having kids and all that and it is hard for me to understand that, too, in the sense of a household having peoples ... Two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going into bed... It is confusing in a sense."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Bachelor star didn't stop there. He went even further, saying, "There's this thing about gay people -- it seems to me, I don't know if I'm mistaken or not -- I have a lot of friends like that, but they're more pervert in a sense." He also felt the show would be "too hard to watch on TV" with gays on the ABC show.

The Times notes that the single father of a 4-year-old daughter can't step back from comments and claim that wasn't what he said as the audio of his remarks have been recorded.

ABC has yet to offer a comment on the situation. It will be interesting to see how his comments affect a show that premiered to strong ratings, but has only aired two episodes.
