After pop star Justin Bieber was arrested for drunk driving and drag racing on Thursday, celebrities have come out and supported their fellow celeb in a Twitter conversation.
CBS News reports Lady Gaga encouraging her Little Monsters fans to support Bieber and stop judging him based on the negative reports online.
“I know everyone today is taking about Justin’s arrest and all sorts of words and judgments are happening on the Internet,” she said. “We may not understand everything celebrities do because there’s only so much we see, but Justin and Beliebers were ‘born this way’ too.”
Last year, when Bieber was found smoking marijuana in early 2013, R&B Usher told Associated Press that Bieber’s behavior is part of “growing up.” He added that “there are peaks and valleys in every person’s life some.”
Usher said, “Unfortunately the reality is he has to live with a camera in front of him, but what he chooses to do on or off camera is analyzed or scrutinized in some off way.”
On Twitter, celebrities have tossed comments back and forth between negative and positive. But some such as Ellen DeGeneres, Josh Gad and Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande, who toured with Bieber, continued to show how much they cared for Bieber.
It's hard to hear all this news about @JustinBieber. I hope he makes his way to adulthood without him or anyone else getting hurt.
