Rapper Armando Perez, actress Regina King, and football star Drew Brees all celebrate their birthdays today.

Rapper Armando Perez, more commonly known as Pitbull, turned 33 today. He was first signed with Luke Records in 2001 and then within that year he joined up with Robert Fernandez. Fernandez helped create the sound of Pitbull that has made him the superstar he is today.

His career took off when was featured on Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz’ album Kings of Crunk in 2002. Then in 2003 his song “Oye” was on the soundtrack of 2 Fast 2 Furious. The following year he released his album M.I.A.M.I. which made the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The next year Perez co-founded the Bad Boys Latino with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, which is a part of the Bad Boy Record Label.

His hits like “I Know You Want Me”, “Give Me Everything”, and “Feel This Moment” have made a recognizable name. Plus, Perez has worked with a number of artists ranging from Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Kelly Rowland just to name a few.

Actress and host Regina King turned 43 today. King started her career with the TV show 227 in 1985. She has graced the screen with movies like Enemy of the State, Friday, Down to Earth, and Boyz n the Hood.

King has also worked with actors like Will Smith, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Columbus Short. Not to mention she was in a number of films ranging from This Christmas to A Cinderella Story. King has also been in a number of TV serious such as Living Single, Boondocks, and 24.

King has won awards such as Best Actress in the movie Ray in 2005 and Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for Southland in 2011 and 2012.
She also has co-hosted BET’s Award Show Black Girls Rock for the past two years with Tracee Ellis.

Football player Drew Brees turns 35 today. Born in Texas, Brees played football in high school where his team had a 16-0 season in 1996 with his help. The NFL quarterback went to SuperBowl XLIV with the New Orleans Saints where they won. He still holds records in passing categories like: touchdowns, yards, and completions.

In 2010, President Barack Obama appointed him to be the co-chair of his Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. In that same year, Sports Illustrated awarded him with the Sportsman of the Year award for being some involved with the restoration of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

He went to Purdue University, where he met his wife; they’ve been married since 2003.
