ABC announced on Thursday at its Television Critics Association presentation that Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will so have two new characters.

According to Deadline, the current character of Mike Peterson (played by J August Richards) will become Deathlok on the show. "We've been leaving breadcrumbs along the way," Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb said.

"This is a major Marvel character appearing on TV, on film for the first time," Loeb added.

"You are in the back half of the movie," executive producer Jeff Bell commented during the presentation. Loeb then added, "We set it up, now we're going to pull the trigger."

In addition to the cyborg character, Aliens actor Bill Paxton will be appearing for a few episodes as Agent John Garret. Stan Lee will also have a cameo on an upcoming episode.

Thor villain Lorelei, who is played by Elene Satine, will also be showing up in S.H.I.E.L.D. as well. Her appearance isn't too surprising as Thor's Lady Sif (Jaime Alexander reprising her role)was previously announced as going to appear in a future episode and she would be "integral" to the plot.
