Charlie Sheen appeared on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday night and admitted to staging a car crash to get out of a previous appearance. Leno, whose show will soon be taken over by Jimmy Fallon, said the Anger Management star is most cancelled guest in the history of the show.
The duo joked about Sheen’s many excuses throughout the years, such as getting his wisdom teeth out and the fake car accident.
"This is what I get... It was four o'clock, five o'clock. Not only could you not come but your limousine had come off the freeway,” Leno mused, to which Sheen admitted, "I told Dylan my driver to actually go into a skid ... so there would be tire tracks on the road and then put the thing into the ditch and this is pre-texting so I think we sent you a photo somehow,” Starpulse reports.
He had apparently used the wisdom teeth excuse one too many times, with Sheen laughing, “There was always wisdom teeth problems” and joking "I had 16 wisdom teeth."
"You had your wisdom teeth pulled four times - that was the funny part ... Everyone would go, 'That happened last time,’" laughed Leno.
Despite all the cancellations, KUGN notes Sheen, 48, said he had been on the show 22 times in the past 21 years. His first appearance was in 1993.
