Chevy Chase is looking to return to TV, just not with NBC. The veteran comedy actor is developing a comedy for ABC.

The show will also feature Chase's former co-star from National Lampoon's Vacation, Beverly D'Angelo, reports Variety. They played married couple, Clark and Ellen Griswold, in the film.

The untitled comedy was given a production commitment at the network. Chase and D'Angelo would play a married couple doing their best to raise grandchildren in the single-cam comedy. Little else is known currently about the project other than Aaron Kaplan signing on to produce the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show would aim to hit television for the 2015-16 season, as at the moment there isn't a script or even a writer.

Chase was previously on NBC's Community but left during the fourth season due to the well-known disagreements he had with show creator and on-again, off-again showrunner Dan Harmon. It was reported that Chase like to use the N-word while on the set of Community.
