Former Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe will be staring in the upcoming Brooklyn Bridge.

The film will scripted and directed by Douglas McGrath and produced by Christine Vachon, Boys Don't Cry and Rose Ganguzza,
Variety reported.

Brooklyn Bridge will tell the story of brilliant but inexperienced engineer Washington Roebling, which will be played by Radcliffe. Roebling was left to over see production of the Brooklyn bridge following the passing of his father.

Goldcrest Films will be providing post-production services, MTV reported. Degove, managing director of Goldcrest Films spoke about how excited they are to have Radcliffe on board. "Having Daniel’s involvement is a massive coup for the film, not only is he perfect for the role, but he’s consistently proved himself to be one of the very few actors who is genuinely a massive draw for audiences of all ages.”

Additional casting announcements, including the lead actress, will be released shortly.

The upcoming film will start production and shooting in August.
