Daniel Radcliffe will be starring in a new film about New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge in the appropriately named, Brooklyn Bridge.

Brooklyn Bridge tells the story of Washington Roebling, an engineer who takes on the role of building of the Brooklyn Bridge after his father dies. Radcliffe’s co-stars for the film are not yet announced. The film will be written and scripted by Douglas McGrath. According to Variety, Goldcrest will sell the international rights to the movie. Nick Quested, Pascal Degove and Jill Samuels will executive produce.

Goldcrest Films managing director Degove told The Hollywood Reporter,"Having Daniel’s involvement is a massive coup for the film. Not only is he perfect for the role, but he’s consistently proved himself to be one of the very few actors who is genuinely a massive draw for audiences of all ages."

Most fans remember Daniel Radcliffe from the Harry Potter movies. Radcliffe is also enjoying some success with Kill Your Darlings from Sony Pictures Classics. Radcliffe was also seen on the small screen for A Young Doctor’s Notebook and Robot Chicken.

Brooklyn Bridge will shoot this Summer.
