Drake’s promo for his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live has been released, showing the “Started From the Bottom” rapper alongside series regulars Bobby Moynihan and Jay Pharoah.
Among the topics in the promo are Drake’s previous role on the show Degrassi, pondering whether or not ducks have belly buttons and of course, music.
Drake’s SNL hosting debut will air this Saturday, Jan. 18. The promo was released on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Before showing off his acting skills, Drake reminded us that he was a “Canadian soap opera back in the day,” MTV News reports.
Drake appeared on an episode back in 2011 on Seth Meyers’ Weekend Update opposite Pharoah, but this is his first time hosting.
EW notes in the promo, Drake reminds viewers that he actually can act.
During the show’s winter break, a new cast member was hired. Sasheer Zamata has joined the cast as the sole female African American cast member since Maya Rudolph left years ago.
