Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson will be attending Tuesday night's State of the Union address by President Barack Obama after being invited by Louisiana Republican Rep. Vance McAllister.

Robertson was invited likely because of how much credit for McAllister's special election win often goes to Phil Robertson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The family patriarch has said that he backed McAllister simply because he was the least experienced when it came to politics. The congressman has commented about his new position, noting that "It ain't no fun." McAllister added, "But, the day I start enjoying it in Washington, D.C., is the day that I should come home."

Since Duck Dynasty's return to television after the controversial temporary suspension of Phil Robertson, the show has struggled in the TV ratings. Despite the slight drops over the first two episodes, the show is still outperforming many other programs on Wednesday night.

Last week's episode averaged a 2.9 in the 18-49 advertiser important demographic and 6.65 million viewers. While that is a drop from where the show premiered, a 3.3 rating, Dynasty still topped all but Modern Family and American Idol.
