Ben Starr, who a co-creator of The Facts of Life, passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday at home.
According to Deadline, Starr began his writing career in radio, working for many big names, including Al Jolson, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin and George Burns.
Starr was then able to successfully transition to television, where he helped create The Facts of Life back in 1979 with Howard Leeds and Martin Cohan. The show would run for another nine years. He was even involved in The Facts of Life TV Reunion back in 2001.
He worked on plenty of other popular shows, with writing credits on The Andy Griffith Show, The Brady Bunch, All in the Family, Diff'rent Strokes and more, reports Variety. He was actually the one who came up with the popular phrase "What are you talking about, Willis?"
Starr, who also signed up to fight in World War II, dabbled in film, writing some 1960's movies, including Our Man Flint and Texas Across the River.
