Fox will be live streaming Super Bowl XLVIII for free on Feb. 2 for NFL fans. This will be the third time in history that the NFL's championship game will be available for free as a webcast for Internet users in the United States.
Variety added that coverage for the upcoming Super Bowl will kick off around 6:30 p.m. live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The stream this year will also include the halftime performance which will feature Bruno Mars.
Fans looking to stream the main sports events can do so as foxsportsgo.com and the stream will be available for all mobile application for iOS devices.
Before the Super Bowl can be decided, playoff games for a spot in the game are about to be underway. Fox will be making the NFC playoff games available only in a “TV everywhere” model, instead of using the free streaming plan, Geek Wire reported.
Variety also reported that advertising time for the Super Bowl is now sold out but Fox is currently looking to fill time in the digital advertising realm.
