FX has recently been announcing a variety of new shows and the network has one more to add to its list. Fargo will be premiering on April 15 and will feature a ten eposide series.
Variety reported that the show will be an adaptation of the Cohen brothers’ 1996 feature film, Fargo. The TV show will feature a whole new storyline and new characters that had not been featured in the original film.
Billy Bob Thorton will be staring in the upcoming FX project along with, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and Allison Tolman. Thorton will play Lorne Malvo in the show.
The show is being written by Noah Hawley who is known for his work on Bones and is being produced by Warren Littlefield, Joel and Ethan Coen and Geyer Kosinski.
The Hollywood Reporter added that Fargo will also be available for viewing on FX's new online streaming application which will feature other shows like Sons of Anarchy and American Horror Story: Coven.
