FX has confirmed on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association that the popular drama Justified will be ending after next season.

CEO John Landgraf said that the decision was made by show star Timothy Olyphant and showrunner Graham Yost, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Though the show will be ending after next year, there's still just about two whole seasons to enjoy as season five premiered last week.

"We talked about it a year ago and they felt that the arc of the show and what they had to say would be served by six seasons instead of seven and I regretfully accepted their decision," Landgraf said.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the FX CEO said that ending the show before it could go stale is in line with how the network likes to run.

FX doesn't want the business side of things be too big a focus on whether a show should continue past its prime or end prematurely.
