George Clooney took to popular entertainment site Reddit to do a fan Q&A on the popular “I Am A…” subreddit. Introducing himself as “a filmmaker who’s worked on films you may know” Clooney chatted with fans for nearly three hours, answering questions ranging from his work on movies to his unusual hobbies. He promoted his charity, Satellite Sentinel, as well as his new movie The Monument Men Clooney talked at length about his celebrity friends, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Sandra Bullock. He made jokes about working with Bullock, saying “It’s tricky cause Sandy drinks so much that oftentimes it’s just hard to keep her upright”. The two actors most recently worked together on the Academy Award nominated Gravity. Clooney was quick to praise his co-star after his light-hearted jape: “She's somebody I adore, really, she's just fun to be in a room with” and then calling her “incredibly charming”. Clooney also shared that his favorite hobby is making shoes, and that one of his biggest career regrets is wearing nipples on his batsuit in 1997’s Batman & Robin
Clooney also spoke about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s japes during the Golden Globes earlier this month. People Magazine transcribes Fey’s joke as, "Gravity is nominated for best film. It's the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age". Clooney announced plans for retaliation in his Reddit post, saying, “You know I got really good by Tina and Amy the other day and I'm working on getting them back in a big way...Shows like that are designed to have fun with you without being devastatingly unkind”.
Good to know that even A-list movie stars are able to laugh at themselves!
