After Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie made the announcement that they were separating, it was clear that they did try and work on their marriage before the split.
Comrie and Duff first met on a plane when they were both going to a resort in Idaho, and Mike proposed later in Hawaii in February.
According to Us Magazine , a source said that "she felt he didn't put enough effort into the relationship,” towards the end.
Duff has also talked about Comrie’s skills as a parent. According to Ny Daily News , Duff said, “"He's an amazing father. He's so patient and loving and involved. He's all the things that I knew that he would be."
This announcement comes after Hilary and Mike brought their 21 old month son, Luca, into the world, however for his sake they will remain close friends.
When the former Disney star, and former hockey player made the announcement, Duff tweeted this:
Mike and I are sitting here,we are so appreciative for all of your kindness& well wishes. Not an easy day but we're getting thru it together
